More than ever today we are going through a dramatic increase of political, eco-nomic and armed conflicts that challenge SEEMF medical community to associate and commit to the mission of being the peacemaker of the future. This annual event is bringing together spe-cialists from different countries and many disciplines.
It is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the VII International Medical Congress in Batumi, Georgia, organized in cooperation with the Georgian Medi-cal Association.įollowing a series of successful congresses, previous years and the First Interna-tional Medical Conference held in Thessaloniki, Greece in June 2016, in Batumi SEEMF is availing of the opportunity to share again the professional knowledge and achievements in medical practice, to present the new findings in scientific medicine and exchange experiences. The participants had the chance to hear really interesting and valuable presentations.ĭuring the event a SEEMF Board Meeting was held at which information was given for the recent activities of SEEMF Board and the nominations for Outstanding Physician of Southeast Europe and other SEEMF awards were voted, and a Resolution in support of the Albanian Order of Physicians was adopted. Thanks to the excellent work and support of the Georgian Medical Association the event was very successful. The Congress received European accreditation for a maximum of 15 CME credits. Parallel sessions were held in 3 different halls and the totsal number of presentations was over one hundred. Presentations were made by eminent professors and other medical professionals from Georgia, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Belarus, Hellas, Latvia, Russia, Spain, Slovenia, Kazakhstan.
The main scientific topics were: Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Pediatrics, Endocrinology, Varia.
